Club dates 2010 - 2012

2012. April:

John Farrell RIP Sad to hear of the passing of one of our long time supporters, John Farrell. The elder John supported the club and attended every match until ill health prevented him, but they always kept an eye on the results. John's son was also a sponsor and supporter of the club. János will be missed around the market green. Our sincere condolences to the family on the death of János. Rest in peace.

Stand: The new stand on the city park side of the track suffered very strong winds last week, this represents a serious setback in the development of the club, hopefully the club will be able to repair the damage. they led me to the stand in the near future.

2012. March:

Summer Soccer 2012 Details of the 2012 Summer Soccer program will be announced soon, Glebe North will hold a week-long camp, the dates and the details of the reservation will be announced soon.

2011. November:

New stand: A new stand was created on the side of the main track towards Városliget, which provides shelter for both home fans and visitors. This is just another piece of magic in our area as the club grows.

2011. August:

Kickstart 1 pitch: The FAI Kickstart 1 pitch will be held at Glebe North FC on Saturday 27th August 2011 9 between 00:00 and 17:00. Please contact Paul Keogh @ [email protected] or contact any committee member. This course is open to all coaches and managers at Glebe North and any other club.

Schoolboys teams: Schoolboy teams cannot start early in the pre-season if there are new players who want to play for Glebe North. Please see the full list of managers in our contact details and feel free to contact them to inquire about the 11/11 pre-season. 12 seasons.

Senior Team: Travel to Shannon next week to play 2 pre-season games Mayfield and Shannon will be the sides with Liam's team and this will give the manager an opportunity , to try out some new players for the team. the lads travel well there.

2011. July:

FAI Summer Soccer: Today was the last day of this year's FAI summer camp and what a week the weather has been, although the numbers were lower compared to previous years, the young schoolboys had a very enjoyable week and the coaches were very impressed with the standard of football during the week. Dávid Brangan stayed behind on the first day and took some team photos of all age groups

Senior Team pre-season: Pre-season has started for all senior teams, training has started and there will be some matches in the coming weeks as preparations gather for the start of the season. Some new faces to train, hopefully some new players at the club next season.

Women's Senior Team: Congratulations to the women's team on their victory over Peamount B in the first round of the FAI All Ireland Cup last Monday night, 3-1 final score on the night.

2011. June:

Senior Players of the Year: The awards were presented last night and the 3 winners were Chris Pollis 3rd team of the night, Stephen Richardson 2nd and Podge Made Barrett's 1st team, thanks to the 3 players and all the senior staff for a great season.

AGM: Following this year's AGM two new members were elected to the committee, we welcome Paul Pollis and Donal Richardson to the committee who have been involved with the club as school managers and have moved up in the management of the club. with the committee.

2011. May:

Chairle Cahill Cup Win: Congratulations to all the players and management of the Glebe North First Team on this fantastic win against Wayside on Sunday at Tolka Pk- n. Glebe were on the ropes after 12 minutes as they were 2-0 down, but on 30 minutes Glebe won a pen and got a point at HT 2-1. Second half and 3 minutes in Glebe, the second peno arrives and it's 2-2 and that's how it stayed until FT. Extra time saw chances for both sides, but Glebe looked the stronger side and it was 2-2 at the end of extra time. Glebe penned a 4-1 win to claim the Chairle Cahill Cup on a historic day for the club.

Chairle Cahill Cup Final: It has been 17 years since glebe reached this final so it is a great honor for the club to reach this cup final. Glebe's cup run has been impressive this season with a Metro Cup semi-final against Arklow next Wednesday. Cahill Cup Final Glebe North V Wayside Celtic Sunday 8th May 2011 Tolka Pk K.O. 15:00.

2011. April:

FAI Senior Cup R2: Glebe face Douglas Hall in the second round of the FAI Senior Cup at Market Green on Sunday 17th April. The start is at 14:00. We wish Liam and the whole team the best of luck for Sunday's match.

Senior Sun Team: Glebe are through to the final of the Chairle Cahill Cup after a 2-1 extra-time win over Tolka Rovers. We wish Liam and the team all the best for the final.

Senior Sun Team: have a semi-final in the Charlie Cahill Cup against Tolka Rovers and a quarter-final match in the Metro Cup, in addition to an FAI Senior Cup 2nd round tie, so busy times for Liam and his team, best of luck in all the cups, hopefully we'll get to the finals.

2011. March:

Johnney Giles Walk of Dreams: A large selection of school teams descended on Dublin city center on Sunday 27th March to take part in this walk, with half the proceeds going to foundation and the other half to Glebe North Fc. Congratulations to everyone who participated.

2011. February:

Shared Access: The Shared Access Floodlighting scheme is proving very popular with clubs up and down the country, Glebe North was one of those who subscribed.

Shared Access is a privately owned, well capitalized Irish company that manages the communications infrastructure of wireless operators for major Irish developments such as Dundrum Shopping Centre, the Dublin Port Tunnel and sports stadiums such as Thomond Park, Musgrave Park. The level of investments was increased from 24 million euros to a generous 36 million euros.

In addition to creating valuable development in the Club's facilities, the program also provides annual income with a significant share of the rental income directly from the area given to the Club through Shared Access.

Glebe North have signed a shared access lease and as some may notice one of the floodlights has been replaced and work has been done on this mast to install communications infrastructure, this is a welcome cash boost for the club for. and also gives us an annual income from this pass.

2010. December:

Christmas draw: Due to bad weather, the draw held at Bingo on 3 December 2010 has been cancelled, the draw will take place soon and the winners will be announced soon.

Senior Ladies: Congratulations to Manager Michelle Gallagher for Player of the Year and Catherine Reilly for Player of the Year 2010, both awards were presented last Friday night and the committee would like to congratulate both players to the award and to the management and players. Members Draw: Glebe North Fc will be holding a members draw in the coming weeks to buy 2x premium level tickets for the Ireland V Russia match. Tickets cost €5 and can be purchased from any member of the committee.

Glebe North Ladies: With summer approaching, Glebe North Ladies finished 3rd in Inter 1 in their first year and can expect a cup final on September 12 against Bohs. This was a great addition. the club and we wish Damien, Tommy and the ladies all the best for the cup final.

Leinster Senior League:: MA Leinster Senior League resumes this weekend with Senior Sun Squad at home to Bluebell on Friday night, Seconds kick off at Beggsboro on Saturday away, and our new third team play Loughshinny on Saturday and Swords Celtic on Monday night. .Good luck for the new season and links to all league tables can be found on each team's page.

FAI Summer Soccer School:The weather held and Glebe's FAI Summer Soccer Camp was in full swing this week with over 75 schoolboys and girls taking part and learning a variety of new skills mastered under the supervision of head coach Paul Keogh and his coaching staff. , U7 to U12+ were given a kit and a backpack with a ball and enjoyed the full program from 10.30am to 3pm each day, see photos for all photos 16.7.10.

Senior teams pre-season: Senior Team pre-season training starts on Sunday 4th July and second team training starts today, Sunday 11th. Welcome everyone. Court Improvements: Work is ongoing on our All Weather warm up area on the Town pk side of the pitch which will allow visiting teams and our own team to warm up before the they play on the main court and will also be used in training. as an additional all-weather training area.
