New Stand: A new stand has been errected on the Town Park side of the main pitch, this is to provide shelter for home supporters and visiting ones too. This is just another enchanment to our grounds as the club grows.

Kickstart 1 Course: A FAI Kickstart 1 Course will take place in Glebe North FC on Sat 27th Aug 2011 9.00am to 5pm please contact Paul Keogh @ paul.keogh@fai.ie or contact any member of the committee. This course is open to all coaches and managers in Glebe North and any other club.
Schoolboys Teams: Schoolboy squads are excepted to start pre season soon if there is any new players who wish to play with Glebe Northplease see the full list of managers in our contacts list and fell free to contact them to find out about pre season for 11/12 season.
Senior Team: Are travelling to Shannon next week to play 2 matches as part of the pre season Mayfield and Shannon will be the 2 sides facing Liam's squad and it will give the manager the chance to try out some new players to the squad, we wish the lads well on there travels.

FAI Summer Soccer: Today was the last day of this years FAI Summer Camp and what a week of weather they had,although numbers were down on previous years the young schoolboys enjoyed a very enjoyable week and the coaches were very impressed with the standard of football over the course of the week. David brangan was down on the first day and took some team photo's of all the age groups, clickhere for pics.
Senior Team Pre Season: Pre Season has started for all senior teams, training has commenced and there will be some matchs throught the coming weeks as prepration gathers for the start of the season. Some new faces are down at training hopefully some new players will be with the club for next season.
Ladies Senior Team: Congrats to the Ladies team on there victory over Peamount B in the First round of the FAI All Ireland Cup last Monday night, 3-1 the final score on the night.
June 2011:
Senior Players of the Year: The awards were handed out last night and the 3 winners were on the night Chris Pollis 3rd Team, Stephen Richardson 2nd and Podge Barrett 1st Team, well done to the 3 players and all the senior panel on a great season.
AGM: Two new member were elected to the committee following this years agm, we would like to welcome Paul Pollis and Donal Richardson to the Committee both have been involved with the club as schoolboy managers and have taken the step up into the running of the club with the committee.
May 2011:
Chairle Cahill Cup Win: Congrats to Glebe North First Team all the players and management on this fantastic win over Wayside on Sunday at Tolka Pk. Glebe were on the ropes after 12mins as they were 2-0 down but 30mins in Glebe won a pen and the score at HT 2-1. Second half and 3 mins in Glebe get there second peno and 2-2 and this remained till FT. Extra time brought chances to both sides but Glebe looking the stronger and the score remained 2-2 at the end of extra time. Glebe went on to win on pens 4-1 and claim the Chairle Cahill Cup on a historic day for the club.
Chairle Cahill Cup Final: It's 17 Years since glebe got to this final previous so its a great honour for the club to get to this Cup Final. Glebe's run in the cup compitions has been impressive this season with a Semi Final in the Metro Cup against Arklow next Wednesday. Johnney Giles Walk of Dreams: A large selection from the schoolboy teams decended on Dublin city center on Sunday 27th March to take part in this walk, half money raised goes to the foundation and the other half to Glebe North Fc. Well Done to all who took part.
Feburary 2011:
Shared Access: The Shared Access Floodlighting programme is proving to be very popular with clubs the length and breadth of the country, Glebe North been one of those who have signed up.
Shared Access, who are a private, well capitalised Irish company which manages communications infrastructure for wireless operators at major Irish developments such as Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin Port Tunnel and sports stadia such as Thomond Park, Musgrave Park amongst others have been delighted with the response to the programme so far, and have increased the level of investment from €24million initially to a generous €36million.
As well as creating a valuable improvement for Club's facilities, the scheme will also provide an annual income with a significant share of the rental revenue from the site given directly to the Club by Shared Access.
Glebe North have signed a lease with Shared Access and as some of you may notice one of the floodlights has been replaced and the work has taken place on this mast to allow communication infastructure be installed, this has been a welcome boost of funds for the club and will also give us a annual income from this lease.

Senior Ladies: Congrats to Michelle Gallagher Manager's Player of the Year and Catherine Reilly Players Player of the Year 2010, both awards were handed out last friday night and the committee would like to congratulate both players on there awards and also the management and players of the Senior Ladies Team on there First season with the club. The Ladies are currently playing in a Futsal League for the winter and we wish them the best of luck with that.

Membership: With the season well under way the committee would like to remind all players that membership for this year is now over due and must be paid ASAP, this income is what the club is run on and the committee must stress that there has been a lack of payment of membership since pre season, there will be a no pay no play rule enforced if payment is not made ASAP.All manager are to remind players of the importance of membership to the club and quick payment of it to ensure the running of the club.
Members Draw: Glebe North Fc are holding a members draw over the next few weeks for 2 x premium level tickets for the Ireland V Russia Match, Tickets are €5 and can be bought from any committee member.
Glebe North Ladies: With the summer comming to a close the Glebe North Ladies have in there first year finshed 3rd in the Inter 1 League, and have a cup final to look forward too on the 12th September againest Bohs.This has been a great addition to the club and we wish Damien,Tommy and the ladies all the best for the cup final.

FAI Summer Soccer School:
The weather has held off and the Glebe's FAI Summer Soccer Camp which took place this week was in full swing, with over 75 schoolboys and girls taking part they carried out various new skills under the watchfull eye of head coach Paul Keogh and his team of coaches,from age groups U7 up to U12+ they recieved there kit and back pack with ball and enjoyed of full programme each day from 10.30am till 3pm, see photo section for all the pictures 16/7/10.

New All Weather Area: Work has started on this new all weather area on the town park side of the main pitch,site has been cleared and the drainage is currently been installed,further updates to follow. 7/10/09
Pitch Works: The finishing touches are been applied by Sportworks to the main pitch and the first home match is on Friday 16th October when Glebe Host Broadford Rovers in the first round of the Chairle Cahill Cup, plans are also under way to install a new all weather strip along the town park side of the ground, this will provide a warm up area for home and visiting teams and will also provide a extra all weather surface for training nights. Main Pitch: Spraying has taken place and anyone who has been down on the green will have noticed the grass has started to die off, this will allow the contractors to move in onto the pitch next week, to begin the digging and leveling of the pitch.

First Team: Glebe North First Team finish 5th in there first year back in the top division, with a fine run in to the end of the league, First team manager Liam Kelly is very happy with the whole squad's performance over this season, and is looking forward to a even better performance next season, friday's nights awards for the senior squads will be a time for all players and backroom staff to relax afer a tough season.
First Team / Second Team Awards 09: Awards of 1st and 2nd team player of the year will take place this Friday the 29th May in Balrothery Inn.

Under 16 Ken Mc Kay Cup Winners:
Congrats to the schoolboy Under 16 team who won the Ken Mc Kay Cup by beating Ashbourne 4-3 at the Oscar Traynor Centre.
Main Pitch: The main pitch at market green will close from the middle of next week as a plan of major works get's under way, this work will be on going over the summer months,the main pitch is been replaced with new drainage and top surface, the local company Sportsworks will be carrying out the work, this is just part of the main committee's projects of works for the club. With the floodlights been a great asset to the club this new pitch will be even greater.
Planning:Fingal County Council request Additional Information for our planning application, this may slow up our progress with the application but we hope to have resolved all issues with the application over the next few weeks.

The club are currently in another planning application, for construction of a) New spectator stand to southern side of existing playing pitch (area 167 sq.m. - Height 5.5m) b) New turnstile, boundary wall and railings along northern boundary (Height 3m) c) Associated siteworks including removal of existing ditch along northern boundary, new screen planting along wall and surface water connection to mains. We all hope we will be granted planning for the above to enchance our club.

The official turning on of the new floodlights will take place on Wednesday 18 Feburary at 6pm, all members are welcome to attend, Mr Jack Reid the last remaining founder member of the club will carry out the turning on. This will be followed with the Glebe V Bohs match.

Official Launch of Martin Finnegan Charity Match
Brian Kerr officially launched the Charity Benefit Match Night between Glebe North and Bohemians last weekend.
The match between these two top teams will take place on Wednesday February 18th at Glebe North’s Market Green in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. Kick off is at 7:30pm. The beneficiary of the event is the Martin Finnegan Benefit Fund. Martin, one of the best motorcyclists ever to come out of Ireland was Irish Motorcycle Road Race Champion.
This event marks a coming together of two completely different disciplines of sport and the only winner on the evening is sport itself. I hope the evening will be a successful and enjoyable evening for all involved” said Shay Whierty, chairman of the Martin Finnegan Supporters Club. “A special word of thanks must go to the players of Glebe North and Bohemians, my own team in the Supporters Club and above all the committee of Glebe North F.C. for making this event happen.”
Tickets for the event are now on sale at a cost of €10 and can be purchased from Glebe North F.C., Lusk United, Xtreme 45, Round Towers GAA, Lusk and Swords Motor Factors and any member of the Supporters Club.
Details of this fantastic event will be published in Fingal Independent, Irish Daily Star and Evening Herald in the run up to the event.
Charity Match for Martin Finnegan Benefit Fund
Glebe North FC verses League of Ireland Champions Bohemians February 18th at 7:30pm Market Green, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. Tickets on sale €10 each.
Glebe North are celebrating the official turning on of their brand new flood light Pitch at their home ground with a charity match against League of Ireland Champions Bohemians at 7:30pm on Wednesday February 18th. Founding members of the club along with well know sportsmen and local politicians will be in attendance for the evening.
In partnership with the Martin Finnegan Supporters Club all funds raised on the night will go to the Martin Finnegan Benefit Fund. Players from both teams will be wearing special new kit for the evening with the famous “Finnegan “and “#45” displayed on the jerseys. Martin was well known to many of the players and was considered a sporting hero to many in the club.
This is a true sporting event for all the family to enjoy with Balbriggan and Fingal’s best taking on the best soccer team in Ireland. Refreshments will be served throughout the evening.
Interest in the event is already very high with a full coach of supporters already booked from bohemians. This is also an occasion for all Martin Finnegan supporters to meet up. What's Happened on the Green?: Anyone passing our ground will have noticed that our floodlighting masts are erected and friday night football is not far away on the green. The Sls Group have being busy over the past couple of months working on the floodlight project, and with the sports grant approved the final adjustments and testing of the floodlights will take place this week.Lets light up the green.....
Pre Season Match Update: Glebe will play against Glenavon on Sat 2nd Aug the game kicking off at 3pm. Tony Grant and Adrian Harper both started their football careers with us at schoolboy and senior level and Tony has promised that Glebe will give the Glenavon lads a good workout! This will be a good workout for the lads before the kickoff of the new season on 16/17 Aug. Pre Season Training : Training as started for the senior teams, Tue and Thurs at 7.00pm are the two main training nights with additional days been added by the senior management as required, plans are in progress for pre season matches for both senior teams with some dates set, Glebe will play Shelbourne on wednesday 9th of July at Home then another Home match with Sporting Fingal on Saturday 12 July from those two encounters they will travel to play Blarney Utd from the Beamish Senior Premier Division and Mayfield Utd from Div 1 in Cork on the weekend of the 19th of July at Mayfield Grounds in Co.Cork. Leinster Senior League : Pat Campbell and Hugh Reilly collected the Senior 1 Cup on Saturday night in Westmanstown at the Leinster Senior League presentation night / dinner dance.
Sports Grant 08: Glebe North Fc will hope to hear good news on this years sports capital grants which are due to be announced in mid june, after been granted planning for the floodlights our next step is the sports capital grant, we will hope the minister will grant the funds necessary for the final phase of the floodlight project.........

Clubhouse Developments: The front section of the clubhouse is nearing compleation,the main hall is finished and a new kitchen has just been installed. During the quite summer months work will contuine on the back section ,Dressing Rooms and Showers will be replaced and all work is due to be complete before the start of the 08/09 season. Please be patient while this work is on going.
Schoolboy/girl Soccer Blitz / Awards 08: Last saturday saw a great turnout for the schoolboy /girl Soccer Blitz and Awards, all teams in the schoolboy section played a soccer blitz from 12.00 till 4.00 and during the day player of the year and most improved player was presented to each team at schoolboy /girl level. "This has been one of the best seasons for Glebe North Fc Schoolboy/girl section" Chairman Anto Byrne said during the award presentions as he congradulated all the teams on there season just gone. Pictures of the day will be uploaded on this site very soon.
